Mirror Mantras

A Mirror Mantra is a positive slogan about being an older person, written on a small card and placed on a bathroom mirror. The activity was developed for participants of the #OldisBeautiful project, to help combat the internalised ageism - or the belief we are less beautiful, worthy, smart, valuable, interesting etc as we age. Internalised ageism can have devastating impacts on health, wellbeing and life expectancy.

The project has been developed by Celebrate Ageing Ltd, a charity combating ageism and building respect for older people. It has been developed for Celebrate Ageing’s Old is Beautiful project.
