The Bank of Intergenerational Kindness
The Bank of Intergenerational Kindness promotes acts of kindness for people doing it tough due to the global cost of living crisis. Australian data shows that after 12 interest rate hikes in 12 months, almost 1 in 3 Australians are struggling to make ends meet (highest rates of financial stress are experienced by 35-54 year olds) and this is having a major impact on the mental health of 1 in 2 Australians.
The Bank of Intergenerational Kindness was established to support people of all ages who doing are it tough because of the cost of living crisis - and to encourage intergenerational support. The Bank also seeks to combat the ageist misconception that older people are to blame for the crisis (more info here). Please help us promote kindness across generations by sharing your story of supporting a person from another generation.

Ageism
Blaming older people distracts us from the critical task of identifying the real causes and solutions to the cost of living crisis. Blaming older people also fuels ageism and creates other problems, including harming the health and wellbeing of older people - and placing further burden on the economy. More details here.
