She/hers

​She/Hers is a collection of projects changing the ageism-sexism story that drives inequalities for older women. There is widespread awareness of gender inequality for women in Australia - but little awareness and concern for the inequalities facing older women. This must change.

Older women are: the lowest income earning family group (
here); the largest group of unpaid carers - 70% (here); the fastest growing group of homeless (here)​; more likely to live in poverty - 34% of single older women (here); and are more likely to experience workplace discrimination (here), Elder Abuse (here) and sexual assault (here).
