Older people are marginalised due to ageism - and due to the ageist belief that they are homogenous and don't experience other 'isms' eg: racism, sexism, metrocentrism, ableism, queerphobia etc. Approaches to diversity often fail to look beyond 'ethnicity' but we need to.
