The Dictionary of Gerontism (The DoG) is a list of ageist words, terms and phrases and their meanings. The Dictionary also explores the ageist use of words and the ways words can be used to build respect for older people. The aim of the Dictionary is to make gerontism (the form of ageism experienced by older people) visible and combat it. More information and activities coming soon....
Celebrate Ageing is looking for older Linguists (or people with passion for language) to help shape The DoG. For more information contact Dr Catherine Barrett, details at the bottom of the page.
